Definition: Real Estate Web Design

Website design is a popular topic among real estate agents, and rightfully so. Most agents realize the vast majority of their audience uses the Internet, so it only makes sense to have a website as part of their overall marketing plan.

"Real estate web design" is the practice of designing a website for a real estate agent or company. In reality, real estate website design does not differ much from any other type of website design, whether it be for a lawyer, doctor or landscaper. The only thing that's truly unique about a real estate website is the audience (home buyers or sellers) and the website's primary goal (to gain clients).

Many companies claim to specialize in "real estate web design." Usually, this means they are general web designers with a client base made up mostly of real estate folks. The important thing is to validate the web design company's skills based on the usability, appearance, marketing savvy, and search engine visibility of their previous projects.
