Lake County offers up to $5,000 in mortgage relief for those affected by the pandemic – WFTV

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — Lake County is offering up to $5,000 in mortgage assistance for homeowners who are behind on payments due to the pandemic.

The money will be made available through the Lake County Coronavirus (CV-1) Mortgage Assistance Program.


Here are the criteria to be met to be eligible:

  • Head of household must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien
  • The residence must be the primary residence of the household and be in Lake County
  • The residence must have a landlord exemption
  • The household must have experienced financial hardship due to COVID-19 (unemployment, underemployment, reduced hours of work or rate of pay)
  • Household income must be equal to or less than 120% of the median income of the region
